Welcome to a sample of Explore the Score

This is a small sample of what you may find as an assignment in an online course.  Assignments will vary from topic to topic, and not all topics follow the same format.

Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D Major, BWV 1050

JS. Bach

For works where the score is in public domain, a score will appear here in pdf version for students to download.  Oftentimes assignments will given with specific themes, sections, keys, etc to be marked in the score.  Students will then be able to compare their markings to the score provided online.  Below is an example of a few pages of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D Major, First movement:

Note Use the "+" and "-" buttons at the bottom of the Scribd. window to increase or decrease the size of the embedded document.

Please note that this is only a small sampling of some of the activities that students will find as part of their online course.
